Ooltewah sits in Hamilton County east of Chattanooga, and it is a straightforward drive for us from Cleveland along US-11 or I-75. The community has grown considerably over the past two decades, with newer subdivisions alongside the older rural properties that have been there much longer. We work on both.
The newer construction in Ooltewah means a mix of roof ages, from 5-year-old architectural shingles to homes built in the 1980s and 1990s whose roofs are reaching the end of their service life. Post-storm inspection calls are common here after the storm systems that track northeast toward Chattanooga.
Ooltewah and the eastern Hamilton County area sit in a band that sees similar weather to Bradley County: spring and summer thunderstorms with straight-line wind potential, summer heat and humidity that wear on older shingles, and the occasional winter ice event. After a major storm, the proximity to Chattanooga sometimes brings out-of-area contractors working door-to-door. We are a local crew and do not operate that way.
